The famous St. Mary Glacier is located in Colorado Rockies about 11,000 ft above sea level. The incredibly high levels of snowfall there make it an attractive place for visitors. The Glacier is a heavenly place for anyone wanting to ski, snowboard tube or play just about any other snow sport you can think of. Some people come not necessarily for an adrenaline rush, but to simply enjoy the clean air, the mountainous beauty and crisp snowfalls. For this reason dozens of bed and breakfasts, small hotels, and cabin resorts have been built all over the area.Check out this link here. However, it is one thing to have some place to stay and another to get a good look around. St. Mary’s Glacier is known for its ATV trails, on order to allow visitors to have the most involved look at what it has to offer. Some of the ATV trails are accessible year round while others only in the winter or summer. One great advantage of using an ATV to see the glacier is that the vehicle can get to places large cars cant and it can also get into places you could not walk to. So with an ATV a happy median is reached. In addition to this, they are built for out doors traveling and are able to handle a little bit of a beating, as would be expected from a trip through the mountains. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the difficulty level of the trails in St. Mary Glacier is relatively high. For inexperienced drivers, there are some trails that are a bit easier. So picking the right type of a trail can mean a difference between a good time and some what of a disaster. Overall, ATV’s are your best friend if you want to get a close up, and fun look at St. Mary Glacier.
